Qualified For The Job?
A recent survey of IT recruiters and IT professionals suggests that IT candidates armed with further qualifications are more likely to get a job.

According to a recent survey from The IT Job Board, 75% of IT recruiters believe IT candidates armed with further qualifications are more likely to get a job.

The survey also showed that 84% of IT professionals think that such additional qualifications will assist their employment chances, with 87% believing that IT resourcing professionals actively seek individuals with such qualifications when hiring.

Analysis of preferred qualifications suggested that the most valued IT qualifications for IT professionals were Microsoft (MCSE, MCSA and MCT) CCNA, CCNP and Prince2 Certifications with the ITIL Certification.

With competition for IT jobs reaching record levels (as many as 141 applications per vacancy), largely due to recent turmoil in the Financial Services IT sector meaning a growing pool of talented individuals looking for jobs, it is clear that holding additional IT certifications could be vital in securing your next IT job.
