A community approach

At Bright Purple, we value community. Be it within our own offices, within our network of clients and associates, or in the communities at large, in which we live. Professionally and personally, at all times the Bright Purple team attempt to uphold the visions and values of the company, while at the same time helping give something back to the communities around us.

It is for this reason that Bright Purple are actively involved in supporting a number of professional bodies and charities such as ScotlandIS, Investors in People and the Recruitment & Employment Federation among others.
Bright Purple Sponsor Spartans FC under 15’s
Bright Purple proud sponsor’s of Edinburgh Spartans FC Under 15’s football team from the South East Region Scotland, for the new season of 09/10.
Bright Purple  MD, Nick Price believes that investing back in to the community by supporting kids through sport is an important responsibility for local businesses. Nick said “as a business we are trying to look at our corporate and social responsibilities and there’s a lot to do, but kid’s and sport are something we feel strongly about. Therefore putting sponsorship into a local football side was a good option for us, and it helps that many of us are football fans ourselves.”

Nick goes on, “Spartans are one of Scotland’s most famous amateur sides and have a very long history of bringing both young boy’s and girl’s through their academy systems and working closely with the local community. In December 2008 the Spartans opened their new community football academy, and in the summer of 2009 the senior team moved to a brand new stadium at Ainslie Park.

The local kids that live in the vicinity of the academy get free access to play football during certain times of the day, which keeps them off the street and gives them a sense of belonging, which in turn helps Spartans to build their brand.

Bright Purple - Sponsors of Spartans FC under 15's

Head Coach of Spartans FC Under 15’s is Ali Mitchell, a dedicated man and who is SFA qualified to train children & youth level. Ali had been coaching with Spartans since 2001 and gives up a lot of his personal time to carry out training sessions and of course take his team for games on a Sunday afternoon. He started his involvement, like many others, with his own son playing for Spartans and through time he got involved in training sessions and from there, he was hooked! Last season Ali led this same Spartans side to 4 cup semi finals and a respectable Top 5 finish in their first year in Division 1.

Nick has been impressed by Ali’s methods for working with his team and quoted, ”Ali earns respect of his team by making decisions, and not always easy decisions. He gets the job done and is focused on getting results. When results don’t go his way, Ali is professional in delivery of the message back to his team and he works with them to look at weaknesses, as well as strengths. I see a lot of qualities in him that are required in my daily business life, so supporting his team wasn’t a difficult decision. He is totally dedicated to the kids and gives freely of his time week in and week out, while he continues to run his own successful business. Where would kids be without the likes of Ali and the many other people around the country who stand at the side of pitches watching youngsters playing football, in rain, hail or shine?”
