Bright Purple Team to Take Part in Byte Night 2009
On October 2nd a team of 5 Bright Purple staff will participate in Byte Night 2009 in support of UK childrens charity Action for Children.
Byte Night 2009 was started by a group of technology professionals over 11 years ago and its aim is to raise money for UK homeless children, through the charity Action for Children. Hundreds of people across the UK will sleep rough for one night to raise the money to help these kids get off the streets.

Bright Purple  managing director Nick Price, said “we all know someone with kids, many of us have brothers and sisters, and of course, we were all children once upon a time! This is a tough time for charities to raise money, the world is still in economic slowdown and people are being told to keep the purse strings tight, but we all have a duty to try and help, even with small gestures. Kid’s are the future of this country and to hear that last year alone, 75,000 children were living on the streets of the UK is so sad.”

Bright Purple have committed to helping this charity in 2009 and a team of 5 hardy souls including, Nick, Dee, Mike, Claire and Ryan, will make up the "Bright Purple Noses"! They will sleep rough in Holyrood Park in Edinburgh on the evening of October 2nd. It’s one night when they’ll give up their warm beds and plasma TV’s, but the team think it’s got to be worth such a small sacrifice to help some less fortunate children get off the streets and back in to a warm bed!

The team are out there trying to raise money for a worthy cause, and if you would like to help them please donate anything you can by visiting the Bright Purple Byte Night donation page .
