Based in Scotland, Our client's innovative expertise service a broad range of clients worldwide in the Oil & Gas industry, including most major operators. Their state of the art engineering software products have made them a global industry leader, and their many major business awards over the years has generated huge demand for their products and services. As a well established, industry leader they are poised for further significant and sustainable growth and as a result are currently looking to add to their R&D Engineering team.

As part of the research and development team you will be tasked with engineering models to represent the physics and engineering principles around the modelling of Oil and Gas fields. The company invests heavily in training and development of staff and as a result will support your personal development to allow you to deepen your knowledge of the physics and engineering around oil field modelling.

Activities are project and objective dependant but may include any or all of the following:
* System Design
* Software Development
* Interface design and development
* Construction of engineering algorithms
* Testing
* Liaising and presenting to clients

In order to be successful for this role you will require:
* MSc and/or PhD in a physical science, mathematics or engineering discipline
* Sound programming experience including: C, C++, .Net technologies, and/or Fortran
* Experience operating in a deadline driven environment
* Excellent organisational skills
