Data Scientist - Remote
The AI revolution is transforming the world - and one the most exciting and important revolutions is taking place within biotech and pharmaceuticals. Bright Purple's European-wide AI client is at the heart of this. Their products and platforms ensure the next generation of R&D is already here.
With a strong academic background within life sciences or chemistry coupled with recent commercial experience in data science, you will work at the cutting edge of science - helping their customers realise their potential across the laboratory and labs. With their head office based in central Glasgow, you will have the option of either going into their modern build office space or working on a remote basis per your needs.
Their latest product release has changed the way people view the way we look at science as a whole and are paving the way to how we will adapt to the future. If you are excited by the application of artificial intelligence, algorithms, modelling and robotics to drug-discovery, reactions and scientific enquiry/experimentation, this is one for you.
What is on offer for you?
HQed in the West of Scotland with offices across Europe, you can work fully-remote, or come to their offices as much as you wish. You'll join an established team working across a few core platforms, with a lot of international collaboration. We are looking for a strong and confident communicator as you'll be presenting to external customers, evangelising their services/products, and working to demonstrate how their platform can improve their customer's work. So, this isn't for someone who doesn't like standing up, telling stories with data, and guiding customers through their journey.
Along with this amazing flexibility to work where you want, how you want, you'll enjoy much better holidays than your typical package, enhanced paternal leave, great hardware, loads of discount schemes, and much more.
We are looking for passionate Data Scientists/AI professionals with experience in some or all of the following (full training will be provided to fill any gaps in your skill set):
- Designing & productionising algorithms and ML models
- Data literacy - familiarity with essential tools like SQL
- Comfortable working with Agile, Python, ML libraries like Sci-kit learn, Pandas, NumPY and PyTorch
- Strong degree in medicine, pharmaceuticals or Chemistry (2.1 or above - preference for Msc level)
- Experience of Amazon Web Services or a similar cloud provider
Bright Purple is an equal opportunities employer: we are proud to work with clients who share our values of diversity and inclusion in our industry.
