About the position:
Bright Purple are on the lookout for a talented UX or Product Design Director for a rare and exciting opportunity with a globally fantasy sports company that has millions of users.
The team are looking for a Design Director to champion good design across a vertical of complex products that affects every single user and allows them to manage their user account.
This is a hands off role, and you will have the opportunity to help build out the team over the next year with Product Designers and Researchers as well as set direction and make strategic decisions across the business in the future.
There are currently three talented mid-level UX/UI designers in the team, and you will have the opportunity to build this moving forward – helping to grow and develop their careers.
If you are a Lead Designer or existing Design Manager / Director, this one could be for you!
About You:
Your background could be from any industry, but if you are detail and data focused and enjoy making iterative improvements that massively impact the business, this could be a great role for you.
Key Skills:
  • Has prior experience in a Senior or Lead Design position where you have developed less senior designers.
  • Experience leading a team through a project or product delivery, encouraging good working practises and building an environment where you get the best out of your team.
  • Have excellent knowledge of the product development process and be keen to make an impact on the business.
  • Strong understanding of good design and being able to encourage and enable professional growth and development.
The organisation have offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and the US. Individual teams are likely to set their own working practices, but we estimate office requirements are once a week to twice a month
