Fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT Support Engineer to join a well-known and establlished, Dundee based Technology organisation as their Internal IT Manager. This role will focus on providing high-quality support to colleagues at all levels across the business. The role will be varied, across a wide variety of IT support tasks; you will be positive, user focused, proactive, reliable, and trustworthy; and you’ll thrive in a busy environment.
Requirements:
- 5+ years practical and relevant technical engineering/support experience.
- Understanding of core network technologies, including DHCP, DNS, mail Transport, TCP/IP and network file systems
- Proficient with Windows server/client technical support experience, including build, management, Active Directory, policy management, O365, Exchange, network file sharing security groups
- Management and support of mobile devices (tablets, phones)
- Web and mail security suite management (preferably Sophos), covering AV, web and mail filtering policies, managing threats – spam, malware
- Storage area network (SAN) technology management (preferably HP/Dell)
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection practices
