Incredibly exciting opportunity to grow your career within the IT Systems and Infrastructure space with a recognised world leader in Banking software based in Edinburgh. 

You will be part of the IT team supporting staff in all offices, around the world. This includes onsite and remote support of users. You will be vital to helping improve and upgrade the network infrastructure and maintain the core infrastructure of the organisation, bringing fresh ideas and experience to build on. 

This role will move fast with the right applicant and will be a fantastic opportunity to grow professionally and personally. 

 

You will be expected to:

  • Solve problems accurately and quickly with an eye for detail.
  • Efficiently and correctly document procedures for colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues of all levels of management and technical skill.
  • Be able to Interact comfortably in a Multi-Country environment - working with other offices and cultures.
  • Be available ‘on-call’ out of hours for any urgent business needs.
  • Have a positive approach to work and with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Show continuing commitment to a quality approach to IT development by keeping track of the latest technology concepts and engagement with the business. 

 

What we need from you:

  • Education to degree level in a related degree
  • Relevant Microsoft/CISCO Certification 
  • Windows Server infrastructure services (Active Directory/DFS/DNS/Group Policy)

Understanding and experience of:

  • Backup and Business Continuity techniques
  • Networking – TCP/IP, VPN, Firewalls, Routing, DNS, DHCP
  • Active Directory &/or AzureAD
  • Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Microsoft Azure (desirable)

Specific experience of the support/maintenance of:

  • Windows Server & Desktop
  • Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, o365
  • Microsoft SQL
  • Hardware and Software Support - CISCO, HP, Dell, Microsoft
  • Fluency in English. This is essential as English is the working language. Other languages are desirable and positively recieved. 
  • The legal right to work and live in United Kingdom
