If you’re currently in a permanent role as a professional Java Developer and you’re thinking of moving into day rate contracting, then this could be the ideal role for you.
You’ll join one of the world’s largest investment banks on an initial 12 months assignment where you’ll work on a range of interesting projects that’ll take your skills to the next level. You’ll be able to work remotely though there may be occasions where you’ll need to be in the office, so it’s best if you’re in commuting distance to Glasgow City Centre.
You will be working predominantly on the server-side, focusing on core and classical Object-Oriented Java techniques
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Ability to write maintainable code in Java
- Experience of working with large databases (Oracle, SQL Server etc.)
- Demonstrable knowledge of RESTful Microservices
- Experience in design/build/maintain large scale, high performance, distributed systems
- Previous experience working with Agile methodology and TDD
- Ability to deliver high quality work within agreed timelines as part of a larger project team
