JavaScript Developer
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Software Engineer to join a growing team in Edinburgh focussing on sustainable practice and providing an affordable service to all their customers. Using the latest Cloud technologies (particularly using React/Node.js/Javascript and AWS Lambda), you will be responsible for the development of a market-leading operational platform.
You will be joining a greenfield project that aims to shape the business as a whole and integrate with the companies existing systems. The initial project is set to run for the next two years allowing for plenty of fresh project work to sink your teeth into. You will need to be an enthusiastic and ambitious technologist with strong communication skills and proven capabilities in building secure and performant cloud applications.
You take pride in mentoring more junior members of the team and strive to be a positive role model. You'll be driven by the desire to satisfy and inspire our customers through the timely delivery of innovative software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
** Hands-on front-end development of Applications using React
** Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS;
** Develop software for serverless and microservice Cloud environments.
** Interpretation of business requirements and design documentation.
** Fine-tuning the existing solutions and building new projects from scratch.
** Develop user-facing features using Node.js/React.js.
** Node.js/React.js developer responsible for managing back-end services and the interchange
of data between the server and the users.
** Good working experience in advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as
React.js, Node.js and JQuery.
** Excellent working knowledge of databases, database schemas that represent and support
business processes.
** Experience in AWS a big plus.
Any technical certifications, ideally AWS.
Applicants aren’t required to cover all of the above as there are multiple positions available of differing levels.
