Technical Analyst - Contract Edinburgh
Bright Purple is looking for a contract Technical Analyst in Edinburgh for a successful financial services company. The contract would initially run for 6 months.
The company are looking for a Technical Analyst is keen to do a lot of technical investigation and analysis, getting a good understanding of the usage of data and the impacts of change. There will be no actual development requirements but the ability to understand code would be beneficial and potentially being able to write some simple queries to assist with analysis, the team can help get you up to speed with this if you don’t have a development background.
Here is what you will be doing:
• Detailed data lineage analysis to understand the usage of data attributes and the breadth of impact a change will have.
• In depth impact analysis across a range of technologies
• Collaboration with tech leads and architects to propose technical solutions.
• Collaboration with the data architecture team to understand and adhere to data principles and governance guidelines
• Presentation of findings to business and technical audiences
• Document all findings ready for development teams to pick up the work.
Here are the skills
- An understanding of Oracle/PLSQL - although programming is not required an ability to understand code is desirable.
- .Net experience would also be desirable.
- Systems and data analysis and lineage tracing
- The ability to pick up other tooling (e.g. impact analysis tooling) quickly
- An ability to think strategically and assess the problem in the context of the wider target operating model
Currently the contract would involve working from home and the IR35 status is Inside through an FCSA umbrella company.
