Are you a data quality professional with a passion for geospatial data? Our client are a dynamic, rapidly-growing geospatial data company They are looking for a Data Quality Manager to join them at a hugely exciting time of growth.

This company is a market leader in the provision of 360° street level imagery and 3D data to major international tech customers, operating globally across the Immersive Media and Geographic Information System markets. They collect and process petabytes of data across multiple cloud platforms worldwide, with mobile mapping capture projects spanning locations across the globe.

About the Role

You will lead the definition of quality within the data governance framework, ensuring all data and information assets used to underpin decision-making both internally and externally, you are reliable, consistent, accurate and aligned with relevant data quality standards. This is an opportunity to work with major international tech companies and help shape the future of their data products.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Managing data quality associated with geospatial data
  • Defining data quality objectives as part of the data governance strategy
  • Driving practical, collaborative engagement with data owners so that data quality objectives are understood in terms of value and successfully adopted into new ways of working
  • Identifying relevant data quality standards and objectively monitoring progress against them, ensuring consistency and integrity across data and information assets
  • Evaluating and implementing tools to support data quality management across the lifecycle, including hands-on work with data cleansing and validation processes
  • Sharing insights and improvement requirements so they can be prioritised as part of an agile development and release process
What you will Bring
  • Deep technical proficiency in improving the quality of remotely sensed 2D & 3D datasets (imagery, LiDAR) and geospatial data at scale
  • Thorough understanding and practical experience implementing workflow tools and/or frameworks to monitor quality across the data production lifecycle (e.g. Collibra)
  • Domain experience and knowledge, particularly in Government, Infrastructure & Utilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A well-organised, structured approach to work
  • Strong prioritisation, time management and focus on delivering key objectives

Bonus points if you have:
 
  • Experience sourcing and maintaining data assets
  • Data management experience
  • An aptitude for making technical work accessible to non-technical audiences
  • A genuine passion for the geospatial industry
