Microsoft 365 Support Engineer
Bourne End, Hybrid 2 days a week
Salary up to £42,000
We’re looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Support Engineer to join our client's technology team, taking ownership of complex support issues across their Microsoft workplace environment.
This is a hands-on 3rd line support role with a strong Microsoft focus. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues across Microsoft 365, Windows, Entra ID and endpoint technologies, while helping maintain a secure and reliable environment for users across the business. You'll be joining an established team where you'll act as a technical escalation point, get involved in improvements and projects, and have plenty of opportunity to deepen your Microsoft expertise.
A driving licence is required, as there may be occasional travel to local regional offices.
What You’ll Do
- Provide 3rd line technical support across the Microsoft workplace environment
- Troubleshoot complex issues across Microsoft 365, Windows and associated technologies
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive
- Manage users, groups, permissions, licensing and access through Entra ID / Azure AD
- Support endpoint management and device configuration through Microsoft Intune
- Troubleshoot identity, authentication, access and Microsoft 365 connectivity issues
- Act as an escalation point for issues that cannot be resolved at 1st or 2nd line
- Monitor Microsoft 365 service health and investigate incidents
- Support security, compliance and access controls across the Microsoft environment
- Carry out configuration changes, upgrades and general platform maintenance
- Work with internal teams and third-party suppliers to resolve more complex technical issues
- Contribute to Microsoft 365 improvements, migrations and technology projects
- Maintain clear technical documentation and share knowledge with the wider support team
Essential experience:
- Strong experience providing 2nd/3rd line IT support
- Hands-on administration and support of Microsoft 365
- Good knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and OneDrive
- Experience supporting Entra ID / Azure Active Directory
- Good Windows desktop and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with user administration, permissions, authentication and access issues
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to take technical issues through to resolution
- Confident communicating with users and other technical teams
