Site Reliability Engineer – Barcelona, Hybrid
 
Our client is an award-winning scale up seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer with strong AWS expertise and a software engineering mindset to help build and scale the next generation of their global travel platform.
 
You will be working with cutting-edge platforms combing world-class travel inventory with powerful management tools, delivering freedom for travellers and control for companies, saving time, money and hassle for everyone.

The Role
  • Design, build, and deploy scalable, secure cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Take ownership of backend services, APIs, and distributed systems that power a high-traffic global platform.
  • Collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and platform teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
  • Champion engineering best practices, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions, helping shape how the platform evolves at scale.
  • Drive continuous improvement in performance, observability, and deployment processes.
 
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, with strong backend development skills.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS services.
  • Skilled in Python development.
  • Experience with containerisation technologies, Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar).
  • Comfort working with observability and monitoring tools such as DataDog, CloudWatch, or Grafana.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scale-up environment.
