For years Bright Purple have been helping this organisation secure world-class talent for its various development teams, and on the cusp of kicking off a huge new project – full of brand-new, greenfield development and cutting edge tech – they are now looking to hire a number of back-end developers with a preference to work mostly in Java.
This is the chance to shape something special, from the get-go, working as a software craftsman to truly engineer beautiful and highly-visible software used by every major player in the industry. Predominantly a back-end role with a focus on Java, if you have some interest in UI work or are keen to explore other aspects of the development ecosystem, you will certainly not be held back in doing so!
This is a hybrid role, based out of Edinburgh but candidates would only be required to be in the office two day a week.
Key requirements
-Strong knowledge of Core java (4+ years min)
-Experience with cloud APIs (AWS/S3/Azure/GoogleCloud)
-Knowledge of SQL or any regional Database
-Automated testing experience (Junit in addition)
Nice to haves
-JDK-Javascript, HTML, Typescript, Bootstrap, Backbone+Marionette, Handlebars, JQuery
-Multi-media web technologies (MSE, Canvas, AudioApi. Ffmpeg)
