Rust Contract Software Engineer

This global organisation have been at the forefront of data and technology for decades. Their reach extends into every fact of power, energy, renewables and heavy industry worldwide. If you are an experienced, proven Software Engineer with current experience of developing complex, large-scale applications using Rust, this contract could be the golden ticket for you.
You will be working on the re-development of a large-scale statistical model used to handle scenario modelling for the European Power market. The application is a legacy monolith, and is being converted from Perl to Rust.
There is a 12-month roadmap of feature requests, meaning this role could see you through 2024 and into 2025! It is determined as Outside IR35 and will be available fully remote, as you will join a team largely based in Amsterdam.
Key skills:
*Strong Rust programming experience
*Experience with AWS or Azure
*Knowledge of Perl
*Highly beneficial to have previous modelling experience but not essential
