Important Notice: WhatsApp Scams
We have been made aware that there are a number of scam messages being sent across WhatsApp and Telegram where the sender impersonates recruiters and recruitment companies, including Bright Purple.
They are promoting fake job ads and trying to obtain personal information from the recipient. You can read more in this Which? article.
Similar to fake emails or texts impersonating a bank or mobile phone provider, the scammers seek to obtain your data and information by malicious actions.
We would like to ask our candidates to be aware of a current scam that targets job seekers. Fraudsters may reach out to you with job offers in order to get your personal information or request payment.
If someone contacts you on WhatsApp or Telegram claiming to be from Bright Purple, please report the message and block the number. You can also forward a suspicious text message to 7726 – a free reporting service provided by phone operators.
Please remember – our team would only conduct themselves in a professional manner and will never make any suspicious requests. We would like to thank those who have forwarded us the evidence of this scam. If you would like to report something to us, please email us at enquiries@brightpurple.co.uk
LinkedIn
If you receive a LinkedIn direct message from anyone claiming to be affiliated with Bright Purple, please be aware that this is not the case. We do not outsource our recruitment services. Please do not engage with any such messages directly.
